About the circle world map widget
The circle world map widget plots data on a world map using latitude and longitude coordinates. Data is grouped into circles displaying unit values. Zoom in and out of the map to view varying levels of detail.
The following table lists the configuration options of this widget:
|Widget title||Enter a descriptive title for the widget.|
|Widget description||Enter a description of the widget.|
|Widget size||Select the size of the widget window in the dashboard layout. The units are columns x rows. For example, 3x2 will fit the widget across three columns and two rows.|
|Time Range||Specify the period of time over which you want to analyze data in the diagram. You can choose from 1 hour up to 1 year.|
|Actions||Select the aggregated field to use as the events in the timeline.|
|Field to show||Select the aggregated field to use as the events in the timeline. For this chart, it is necessary for each event to include a latitude and longitude value.
|Google style||Choose ON to show the results over a Google map.|
|Zoom in/out||On the map, click + or – to select the default zoom.|
|Map/Satellite||Select the default map visualization option between Map and Satellite.|
The following widget shows the number of web accesses count by geolocation for the last 24 hours with the following configuration:
- The Time Range is set to 1 day.
- The Field to show is the count of events with the same latitude and longitude coordinates.
- The Actions selected All latitude and longitude combinations.
To zoom in or out of the map to view finer detail, you can:
- CTRL + scroll wheel
- + or - on keyboard, use arrow keys to navigate the map
- + or - button in lower-right on widget
