Column chart widget
About the column chart widget
The column chart widget generates a standard vertical bar chart.
The following table lists the configuration options of this widget:
|Widget title||Enter a descriptive title for the widget.|
|Widget description||Enter a description of the widget.|
|Widget size||Select the size of the widget window in the dashboard layout. The units are columns x rows. For example, 3x2 will fit the widget across three columns and two rows.|
|Time Range||Specify the period of time over which you want to analyze data in the diagram. You can choose from 1 hour up to 1 year.|
|Group by||Use this option to select the grouping. Enter the required multiplier number in the left field and the time range in the right one (minutes, hours or days)
|Y Axis Label||Enter a label for the Y-axis that describes the units.
|Accumulate in period||Make the line continuous by accumulating the results of the grouping|
|Actions||Add or remove elements of the grouping field. Select All to include all values.
|Field to show||Select the aggregated field to use as the data to measure.
|Show last point||Select ON to show the last data point.|
|Show first point||Select ON to show the first data point.|
The following options appear if you select All in Actions:
|Show all series||Select ON to show only the most significant values. Select OFF to display only one line representing the sum of all the series.|
|Max. series to show||If you select ON in the Show all series toggle, enter here the maximum number of series to show.|
|Sort by descending order||Select ON to order data in descending order.|
The following widget is an example of the ISP (service provider) activity over the last week with the following configuration:
- Time Range - 1 week
- Group by - hours
- Accumulate in period - 1 day
- Field to show - count
- Actions - All
- Sort by descending order - ON
- Click a catagory in the legend to highlight its values in the chart.
- Zoom in/out by clicking on the map, dragging the mouse and selecting the required area over the widget.
