Creates a column that returns the base specified raised to the power of an exponent.
How does it work in the search window?
Select Create column in the search window toolbar, then select the Power operation. You need to specify two arguments:
|Base (mandatory)||integer, float|
|Exponent (mandatory)||integer, float|
The data type of the values in the new column is integer or float.
my.lookuplist.expenses table, we want to raise the values in the remaining column of our table to 2.
The arguments needed to create the new column are:
- Base - remaining column
- Exponent - Click the pencil icon and enter 2
Click Create column and you will see the following result:
How does it work in LINQ?
Use the operator
as... and add the operation syntax to create the new column. These are the valid formats of the Power operation:
