Geolocated Coordinates (mmcoordinates)
Geolocates an IPv4 address and returns its coordinates.
This operation returns data for public IP addresses. If an IP is private, it will return null.
Use the Geolocated coordinates with MaxMind GeoIP2 (mm2coordinates) operation if you want to get the coordinates of an IPv6 address (ip6 data type).
How does it work in the search window?
This operation needs only one argument:
The data type of the new column is geocoord.
We want to get the coordinates corresponding to the IP addresses in our clientIpAddress column, so we click Create column and select the Geolocated coordinates operation. Select clientIpAddress as the argument and assign a name to the new column - let's call it coordinates.
