Hostname root domain (rootdomain)
Extracts the root domain from the hostnames in a given string field.
The root domain (example.com) is the overarching structure that contains the subdomains (blog.example.com), and every folder that belongs to a website. The root domain is the site name that you need to buy or register with a TLD extension.
How does it work in the search window?
Select Create column in the search window toolbar, then select the Hostname root domain operation. You need to specify one argument:
The data type of the values in the new column is string.
my.lookuplist.hostnames table, we want to get the root domains of the hostnames in our Hostnames column. To do it, we will create a new column using the Hostname root domain operation.
The arguments needed to create the new column are:
- Hostname - Hostnames column

How does it work in LINQ?
