Customizing In-House Relay settings
Apart from relay rules, you can customize the settings that dictate how the relay will manage its connection with the Devo Cloud.
- Go to Administration → Relays. Click the Name of the In-House relay you want to configure.
Open the Relay Config tab.
The following table describes the available options for configuring the Devo In-House Relay:
Process Memory Buffer (Megabytes)
Maximum size of the memory buffer that stores events that, for whatever reason, could not be sent. If this buffer fills up, any remaining data will be stored in the disk buffer. The default value is 256 MB.
Process Disk Buffer (Megabytes)
Maximum size of the disk buffer that stores overflow events when the memory buffer is full. If this memory is also full, the oldest events will be discarded. The default value is 2048 MB.
Socket Timeout The number seconds the socket will remain open after sending the last event. You may want to enter a longer time when, for example, you know new events will arrive soon. Socket Keep Alive Select this option if you want to receive a signal to check that the socket is operating properly. Socket Buffer Size (Megabytes) Enter the size of the TCP socket.
