cdn.akamai

The tag cdn.akamai.cloudmonitor identifies all log events generated by Akamai CDN and sent using the Akamai Cloud Monitor API service.

For information about Cloud Monitor, see the vendor documentation online.

Tag structure

This technology uses a single tag to support all of the data elements used in the Cloud Monitor default connectors. The tag is simply cdn.akamai.cloudmonitor and the associated events are saved in Devo in a table of the same name.

For more information, read more about Devo tags.

Configuration

Cloud Monitor sends event data in JSON format via HTTPS POST requests. You'll need to configure it to send the events to your Devo Relay. For complete instructions, see the vendor documentation online.

On your Devo Relay, you'll set up a relay rule that applies the cdn.akamai.cloudmonitor tag before forwarding the events to Devo in syslog format. In the example below, we use port 13003 but you should use any port that you can dedicate to these events.

  • Source Port → 13003
  • Target Tag → cdn.akamai.cloudmonitor
  • Check the Stop processing and Sent without syslog tag checkboxes.
