Third-party syslog tools configuration

You can set up the monitoring of log files and sending of events to a Devo endpoint by editing syslog configuration files manually. These instructions provide an alternative to using the Devo configuration packages.

We offer instructions for editing rsyslog, syslog-ng, and even pure syslog files to:

  • Establish simple, unsecured connections that send system logs to a Devo Relay
  • Establish secured connections that send system logs to a Devo Cloud
  • Configure the monitoring of other log files for sending to either Devo endpoint
