## Purpose

**Multitenant Content Manager** is a Devo application which allows MSSPs and resellers to manage [Devo Exchange content](https://docs.devo.com/space/latest/158236705/Devo+Exchange+repository) from roo/parent domains to be deployed across their tenants.

Administrators can now control which content types are visible on their tenant based on specific needs.

The application page display the Exchange content, organized by *Name*, *Type*, *Technology*, and *Creation date*.

## How do tenant plans work?

A [multitenant structure](https://docs.devo.com/space/latest/144474118/Multitenancy) in Devo consist of a group of tenants or domains that belong to the same customer and share common characteristics.

The **Multitenant Content Manager** application follows this structure by assigning different plans to customers. The multitenant administrator needs to:

1. Create plans
2. Select and distribute the content into the plans.

## Getting started

To start using the **Multitenant Content Manager** application, please contact [Devo Support](https://devo.my.site.com/support/login?ec=302&startURL=%2Fsupport%2Fs%2F) so we can enable the application in your root/parent tenant. Once that’s done, you can select from the **Applications** section in the navigation pane.

## Manage domains

The application page is divided into two sections. The left pane displays the list of plans activated in the domain, while the right pane shows the Exchange content repository. 

1. **Select a plan** from the list to view and search for the number of domains included in the plan, as well as which specific domains are included.

2. **Enable content **for the plan by using any of the two options available:
  - **Specific content**: Select the checkboxes associated with each record. This can be useful for specific customers, but it may be more difficult to manage, as new content added to Exchange will not automatically appear in the selection. Click **Save changes.**
  - **Manage groups: **Select content by *Content type* or/and by *Technology* to include in the plan. This option may be easier to maintain, as new Exchange content fitting the selection will be automatically added to the plan. Click **Save changes.**

3. **Accessing the content catalog** in Exchange, users belonging to that domain only will see the selection performed by the Administrator.

## Filter content

You can use the following options to filter by plans, customers, and content. This catalogue is divided in 8 different types of content: Applications, Activeboards, Alert packs, Lookups, Content packs, Syntetic data, Use cases and Query.

- **Search box:**
  - Introduce the desired text in the **search box** and the Exchange content will be filtered as you type, showing only those containing that string. The search will be performed over the fields: *Plans list*, and *Content name*.
- **Dropdown button:**
  - Click on these buttons and a list of options will appear to select over the fields: *Content selection*, *Content type*, and *Technologies*.

You can perform **advance filtering** over your string by selecting the operators from the “filter“ icon:

- **Content display and pagination: **
  - Select the number of items to display per page by clicking on dropdown buttons.

## Use case

Let’s take the example of a* *company that needs to separate its customers (or tenants) in three different plans, having each set of tenants different content needs.

The multitenant administrator will use the **Multitenant Content Manager** application to assign Exchange content to the tenant schema outlined previously, as shown in the examples below:

### Admin plan

This plan will have **all **content available for the included domains:
